While The Spinning Mill generally receives positive feedback, a few points of concern occasionally arise. Some guests mention that the dining area can get noisy during peak times, especially when live music or karaoke is in full swing. This bustling atmosphere might not be suitable for everyone, particularly if you're looking for a quiet meal or conversation. It’s advisable to visit during non-peak hours for a more relaxed experience, especially on weekdays.
A few diners have pointed out that the selection may vary, and on busy nights, certain dishes might run out. Planning a family outing or a special meal around specific menu items could lead to disappointment during such times. Reservations are always recommended, particularly for larger groups, to ensure a smooth dining experience.
Food is really good people and service very friendly
Didn't have any food so can't review that. The staff are warm and welcoming and contributed to a pleasant afternoon
Good pub,great beergarden.👍
Whilst organising a day trip for pensioners from church and looking for somewhere to stop for lunch I went on line looking for a carvery but was disappointed by the reviews that had been posted, I went for a drive to try and find somewhere suitable. Having passed the spinning mill on a number of occasions whilst working but had never stopped, on visiting early afternoon I spoke to the bar staff who were extremely helpful and supplied me with a pensioners special lunch menu at this time we were looking at about 30 pensioners. The cost of the meals was fantastic at £5.55 for two courses, there were 6 main meal choices , the same number of sweets and starters. The landlord Neil phoned me on a couple of occasions and by this time numbers had grown to 39 and finally 47 people. Neil and his staff had no problems catering for the extra, on Weds 4/4/18 we arrived at 12pm and the two top rooms had been set out so that we were all sat together almost immediately our food was served and it was fabulous and enjoyed by everyone with most asking when we would be returning. Niel and his staff couldn't do enough for us and was the perfect start to an enjoyable day. Many many thanks to Neil and his staff for all they did . I would have no qualms in recommending the place for food or drinks.
Friendly staff. Food lovely brilliant in summer
Family Sunday lunch. Roast dinner for two of us and a lasagne. We haven't been in a while, and will definitely go back.
